Maz is the best.

Working with Maz has been an absolute delight . Beyond his expertise, Maz’s positive energy and motivation are truly infectious. His unwavering belief in my abilities and his constant encouragement have pushed me to achieve my goals. In less than a year, I’ve gained approximately 20lbs (now 35lbs) of muscle. Progress that is noticeable and practical as a Dad with two young boys that I’m motivated to keep up with.

One of Maz’s greatest strengths is his talent for introducing new routines and challenges that specifically target my weaknesses and areas where I aspire to grow. Tina lost 20lbs in 2 months! At one point she told me she gave up on the idea of weight loss as she started to believe it was no longer possible due to her age and lifestyle. But after accomplishing her original goal of getting rid of her chronic back pain and getting extremely strong in her daily life, I convinced her that weight loss was possible and that she could take that next step. With hard work and proper guidance she finally accomplished what she thought was no longer possible and lost 20lbs! She’s never felt better and is always telling me about how happy she is with the results. I couldn’t be more proud of her and am happy she can live a lifestyle she enjoys 
whilst still keeping the weight off!

Personal training isn’t just for young people or weight lifters. I am a middle aged women who was a bit intimidated to even come into the gym much less hire a trainer. For a long time the only place I would set foot is the pool, the bikes, and the treadmills. The area with the free weights is mostly really big young men and I didn’t fit in or feel confident to use any of the equipment.

After suffering from chronic back pain for years I decided to go to the gym and get some help with this. Maz has been a tremendous help. Not only does he have a great attitude but he knows what he’s doing. He’s able to explain how to use the machines properly. Just showing someone isn’t enough. The program he set up for me has moved things along at a faster pace than I expected. Now not only is my back pain gone but I am able to lift heavier things in my everyday life without issues.

Training is well worth the money and time to improve the quality of your life and Maz is the guy to help with this

I started my fitness journey in July 2022. I was at my highest weight and it was starting to affect my health. I signed up for a gym membership but I had no idea where to start or what to do. I decided to sign up for personal training with Maz and I can confidently say that it is the best decision I have ever made. I struggled a lot with my confidence, motivation and staying consistent but Maz has always been patient with getting me back on track. I have learned so much about technique, form, and nutrition from him. All of which has contributed to my fitness goals. Maz has helped me find what works best for my body and lifestyle, he also keeps me motivated and celebrates the small wins that keep me going. So far I have lost 45 lbs and have gained more energy and I feel more confident. I honestly never thought that I would be able to achieve results like this but thanks to the support and training from Maz I am well on my way to meeting my goals. If you are someone like me that struggles with consistency and accountability and want to start meeting you fitness goals I highly recommend training with Maz!

Before I came to Maz, injuries and work got in the way of my consistency. For a period of 1 year I didn't exercise because of work and I came to Maz with the initial goal of gaining muscle in my weak areas. He was friendly, knowledgeable and receptive to these goals and got me started on correcting my form.

We quickly found out that paired with bad flexibility/mobility and a desk job lifestyle, I've been throwing my back every other month in and out of the gym. During our sessions I was impressed with how Maz improvised new exercises and techniques that got me to work around my injuries. My goals soon changed to improving my mobility and counteracting the results of my sedentary lifestyle.

Maz was super helpful in steering my program in the right direction. He knew when to push my limits and taught me many useful mental queues that helped me get the most out of my exercises. After a month of focusing on strength and mobility I'm proud to say I no longer have lower back pain, in fact my back has been feeling stronger each day. I've achieved new levels of flexibility and I can even reach my toes which is something I haven't done since I was a kid!

After this I decided to lose weight. Maz got me started on measuring my calories, protein and weight each day. He even made me accountable by making me do burpees if I did not keep up with my goals for the week. I'm happy to say that I consistently lost weight and went from 156 to 143 over 3 months. I am currently the most confident, leanest, athletic and aesthetic I've ever been.

Maz told me I'll always be busy with my job, so the only way to achieve my goals is to make it happen regardless. Now I feel great since I no longer get back pain, I have a more healthy, athletic, capable body and I have the confidence and mindset to just handle more in life. I'm extremely grateful to Maz and I'm looking forward to see how much more I'll improve in the future.

When I first started working with Zain, he was super motivated to start losing weight and live a healthier life

He lost weight and got stronger pretty quickly at first and was happy with how things were going

Then he hit a wall, there was a plateau in his progress and he felt like he was experiencing deja vu. (He tried to lose weight in the past but got stuck when he lost his first 20-30 pounds, we hit a plateau at the same number)

From there as always, we tried to emphasize the importance of building one habit at a time and trusting the process. Big and sustainable changes take time, so even though he was feeling discouraged he learned to put one foot in front of the other and kept going. Regardless of how he felt, Zain showed up and put the work in

Now he’s happy he kept going, has achieved more than he thought was possible and is continuing to trend in the right direction

I started my incredible journey with Maz with a goal to lose 30lbs. I had been having issues with shortness of breath and leg/knee pain. With Maz’s encouragement and expertise as a personal trainer, the leg pain gradually disappeared leaving me feeling like a new person, so much more energy and able to return to my normal routine. Previously, I tried my own diets, whereby the weight would come off, only to come back shortly afterwards. He helped me with my nutrition and kept me accountable for my weight loss by tracking my daily weight and comparing the weekly average which dropped continuously every week. I’ve now surpassed my goal and have lost 40lbs. The shortness of breath has improved and I no longer need to use an inhaler.

I find Maz to be very knowledgeable as a personal trainer, offering constructive feedback and encouragement to do my very best. He explains and demonstrates new routines and why it is important for your success. While he is serious and professional, Maz is also personable and cares for his clients best interest. For anyone considering a personal trainer, I would recommend Maz, as he really cares about his clients success and well being.

I moved back to Milton from Owen sound with a lot of new goals, one of them being getting in the best shape of my life. My Dad was already working with Maz and highly recommended him so the transition was easy. From day one Maz made and constantly tailored my plan to my specific needs, helped keep me accountable with nutrition and exercise, and pushed me when I needed it. There were moments when I wanted to give up but I continued to keep showing up. I was finally able to lose 30lbs, I’m way stronger than I was before, I can do much more in my daily life, my clothes fit me way better, and I feel much better, healthier, happier, and more confident. I feel like I’ve grown so much and I’m really grateful to Maz for all of his help!

It’s amazing how much you can accomplish in a short amount of time when you really put your mind to it and give it all you got 

As you can see, Gurjeets gained an immense amount of muscle. As soon as we started training, his commitment level stood out. He went from barely exercising to weight training 5-6 days a week, and did everything necessary nutrition wise to build his body up to what it is now. In just 6 months he looks like a whole new person. Work smart, work hard, and results are guaranteed

Initially, when getting started with a trainer I was ridiculously nervous. I have had fitness trainers before, however my experience with every single one of them was less than pleasant, so I was quite skeptical of Maz when I first met him. All of those doubts and concerns washed away just in the first week, right from the start Maz was very clear with me, answering any questions I asked and never leaving me with any doubt. All my previous trainers pushed me too far beyond my limits, causing me to create a negative opinion on cardio and fitness overall. Maz never did this, in fact I owe my love for weightlifting now to him. From the beginning he looked at how difficult any exercise was for me and adjusted accordingly, always pushing me hard enough to my limit, but never so far that I started to hate coming to the gym. Instead of going straight into diets and cutting out things such as carbs and sugar, he made suggestions and told me advice that was sustainable and that I could actually accomplish if I really put my mind to it. He isn’t only great in fitness either, between sets Maz is amazing to talk to. Most of the fitness trainers I have had in the past are always about “gains” and I could never talk to them without a conversation winding up about that. It made me feel as though I was just talking to a machine that could only talk about fitness. Maz is nothing short of the complete opposite, from the first day we met he was chill, funny and is overall a very genuine guy. He also passes on so much knowledge during this period, I have learned more in just 6 months of doing weight training than I have my entire life! Overall my experience with Maz has been absolutely incredible, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer.

Working with Maz over the past year has been an amazing experience. He made me feel comfortable yet knew how to challenge me from day 1. With his exercise plans, coupled with his advice on nutrition and creating better habits, I’ve been able to lose 42 pounds. I’ve also went down from a size 16 to a size 10. The more consistent I was, the more results I saw. Maz is super personable, encouraging and a great person to champion you on throughout your fitness journey!

From Maz👉Aazema’s fitness journey started off slow, but once we were able to change some of her lifestyle habits she started seeing results and her progress is still trending in the right direction. This is Mahamudul. He’s lost 20 pounds while also putting on muscle and gaining strength which has helped him overcome previous injuries. He’s also recently had to switch pant sizes as he’s lost inches around his waist. Better yet, his diet is much healthier and higher in protein so it’s been easy to lose the weight and he doesn’t feel like he’s starving himself.

The turning point for Mahamudul was when he started tracking calories. Before then results were slow and he felt like he was turning his wheels, but once he was much more conscious of what he was eating and more importantly how much he was eating. Shortly after the weight started peeling off.

Part of success is realizing that based on your lifestyle and the way you tick, different things work for different people. For example if your job requires you to work with numbers and what your eating changes on a daily basis due to work, tracking calories may be something that provides some structure and is easier to stick to because you actually somewhat enjoy the process and it feels less restrictive than simply cutting out carbs for example. For others, tracking calories isn’t as fun and less sustainable so another approach would make sense.

Learning how to find what works for you or finding a coach that has worked with others that will listen to you openly and figure out what best suits your needs based on your circumstances and is adaptable to your ever changing schedule, is a major key to success.
